The standard was very high when the four Tollbar Multi Academy Trust Secondary Academies met on the field for a Year 9 and 10 Rounders Tournament, hosted by Somercotes Academy.

The Year 9 Louth Academy Team narrowly defeated Somercotes in a very close final, and the Year 10 final was a draw between Somercotes Academy and Cleethorpes Academy.

Somercotes Academy Curriculum Leader for P.E., Chris Prendergast, who organised the tournament, said: "The standard of rounders tonight was very high and it was a pleasure to organise such a positive event for Tollbar MAT. Well done to all of the students who took part, and especially our Somercotes teams."
