Year 9 student Joshua Taylor won the Academy’s first ever Pumpkin Carving Competition organised by the Art Department. The competition gave students the chance to practise their artistic skills at home, while celebrating the tradition of Halloween.
Samantha Lyons, Curriculum Leader For Art, said: “We were delighted by the number of entries from all year groups, showing a wide range of ideas and imagination. After a KS3 vote, Joshua Taylor (Year 9) was awarded 1st place, with James Plumridge (Year 8) and Harry Haste (Year 8) as close runners-up. Well done to everyone who took part.”
